This work, made over the course of the Pool V workshop in Milwaukee, engages the collaboration of 14 artists to pair frame and image. The frames, handmade by these many artists, are built from locally sourced wild clay near Lake Michigan shores. The contributions of both frame and image from this group of local and international artists shape rhizomatic, ephemeral relationships between hand, water, and land.

About: Pool V - a one-night only public exhibition of the Pool V cohort with installations, readings and performances across Harbor View Plaza. The nomadic workshop builds on the collaborations between artists Sonja Thomsen (America), based in Milwaukee WI, USA, and Thom Bridge (Swedish British), based between London and Manchester, UK.

Pool V is generously supported by The Open Fund, through the Poor Farm with funding from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Ruth Foundation for the Arts.
